Here at Homeward Bound we believe in the importance of taking steps to lessen our environmental impact whenever possible. As a small business, it may not make the biggest difference, but it is something we consider in our day-to-day operations. We appreciate the beautiful land we live in, and want to do our part to preserve it for our children and future generations. Among the things we currently do at the hospital are:
- Compost
- Recycle
- Request vendors refrain from sending unnecessary packaging
- Treat our own water
We are always on the look out for ways we can do more. Looking ahead, we have plans to take advantage of the 300 days of sun we receive here in Colorado by installing solar panels to provide for some, or all, of our electricity needs.
